Today is a big day for everyone at Nursery as we are full of sugary goodness with our bakesale to raise money for Make it Pink Day.

We have been inundated with cupcakes, tray bakes, cookies and cakes ready for us to sell to help make a few pennies for us to donate, so remember to bring those pennies along with you when you pick us up so that we can treat ourselves to something sugary.

Check out the cakes below just to help wet that appetite.

YUM!!

Here at nursery we are lucky enough to get to go on lots of fun outings to learn first hand about our current topics.

This term we have been learning all about Autumn so a trip to the garden centre was on the cards for us.

We learnt all about the life cycle of a plant and the trees and happily went on a walk to see all the autumnal changes that are going on around us.

Check out the pics of our fun day out.

Today we all took part in our Harvest Festival Assembly and had a brilliant time showing our friends the songs that we had learnt about harvest.

This year we decided to raise money by emptying our pockets of loose change and donating it to the Salvation Army for them to help buy their Christmas food for the elderly. We are very proud to say that we managed to raise a whopping £335.00!!!!

Check out our photos to see what we did with all this change…

Please see the attached image for information regarding our Autumn Festival this year. We are looking forward to savaging for coins by looking under the sofa cushions, down the back of the washing machine and in that pair of old jeans… Lets see how much money we can raise!!

Monkey Puzzle @ Kings are taking part in Wear it Pink Day, on Friday 26th October.

We will be holding a cake sale with some delicious baked goods, and asking the children to come to nursery dressed in pink or as a super hero for the day.

Please help us to raise lots for this very worthy cause by dressing your children in pink or as a superhero for the day or even bring in cakes for our bake sale.

We had a terrific find at a local car boot sale at the weekend with us acquiring this fantastic rustic tree trunk furniture from one of the vendors. He had carved and crafted the pieces himself from a tree that he had felled in his garden, and as soon as we saw it we felt that it would be perfect for our playground.

We managed to lug it back to school (its rather heavy) and place it into the playground ready for our Monday afternoon playtime. As you can imagine it has been a total hit with the children with them using it as a brilliant role play prop and just as a place to sit down and chill out in the sun.

Its a hard life being at Monkey Puzzle…!!

Our new rustic furniture

Since Monkey Puzzle began, we have had a fantastic response and have never looked back. There is nothing as re-assuring as hearing what parents think about our school. Here are a few recent comments.

‘Just wanted to say how pleased we are with our child’s two years experience at Monkey Puzzle. We think the school and all the staff are fantastic.’

‘You have all been amazing. We will miss you very much!’

‘It seems like yesterday when you said to me ‘Come and have a look’. From the moment you gave us a personal tour, we both fell in love with Monkey Puzzle. The stunning setting, your amazing dedicated staff and of course the whole ethos of your school. Our boys have both loved Monkey Puzzle and have grown in independence and confidence during their time with you.’

‘That dreadful time has arrived and our daughter will be leaving you all. We would like to thank you and your wonderful staff for giving us parents ‘peace of mind’ and giving our daughter such a great start in her early years.’

‘How can I possibly thank you enough for caring for my children for the past six years. Thank you seems so inadequate for everything Monkey Puzzle has given us. We were determined to give our children the best and that we discovered was Monkey Puzzle.’

‘I just wanted to let you know how we feel about our past seven years at Monkey Puzzle. We cannot begin to thank you enough for the help and support you have given our boys and us as parents. You have supported us as a family so well. There are so many fantastic people working at Monkey Puzzle, we will miss the walk down the hill each morning! Our heartfelt thanks’
